Dog
owners in Marbella have now a beach where they can take their pets to play and
swim, while Estepona has announced plans for a similar facility on one of its
beaches.
Last month Marbella launched a new dog friendly beach,
located at Linda Vista in San Pedro de Alcántara. It will be open to dogs
during the low season, from October 15 to May 15.
The truth is that the number of
Spanish beaches where you can go with a dog is pretty poor. Therefore the concept of dog-friendly beaches becomes increasing phenomenon in Spain. Owners are
asked to provide their own plastic bags to pick up mess and put it in one of
the many bins provided on the beach. Fines for not cleaning away after dogs can
be very high, even up to 600 euro.
Here you can see a list of beaches on Costa del Sol where you can go with your dogs. It’s very important to check cities
regulations before going there, as they keep changing all the time and there
are slot constraints in some of them.
