The best Costa del Sol golf courses
Have you ever been somewhere where you can play your favourite sport 365 days a year? If your answer is “no,” then you need to plan a trip to the Costa del Sol, also called Costa del Golf
With more than 70 golf courses and an average annual temperature of 20℃, the province of Malaga is a true paradise for golfers from around the world.
Below is the list of impressive golf courses and places where you can stay.
In the foothills of the Sierra Bermeja lies the San Roque Club, whose two outstanding championship golf courses are the reason behind its continued position within the elite of Andalucian golfing resorts.
2. Real Club Valderrama Golf in Sotogrande
Despite only opening in 2003, La Reserva Golf Club is already considered to be among Andalucia's elite golfing destinations. It's quality is considered to be on a par with its neighbour Valderrama and is a must-play for any golfer visiting Southern Spain.
5. Real Club De Golf Las Brisas in Marbella
Any golfer fortunate enough to have experienced Sotogrande will understand what Trent Jones is all about; the subtlety and careful manipulation with which he creates holes demands complete control of every facet of the game. Las Brisas requires both power and finesse, as the course is a full championship length, but the raised greens necessitate a particularly deft touch.
1. San Roque - old & new course
Consistently ranked among the top 10 layouts in Europe, Valderrama is a course linked with tournament pedigree, remarkable design and sensational conditioning. Considered by many to be the best golf course in all of Spain
3. La Reserva Golf Club in Sotogrande
4. Finca Cortesin in Casares
Finca Cortesin is regarded by many as the most luxurious golf resort in Spain, situated between the beautiful coastal towns of Sotogrande and Marbella, on the road to the beautiful mountain villages of the Casares. While the Finca Cortesin Hotel is astounding, the golf course is the crown jewel, ranked in Europe's top 20 courses, and has already hosted the European Tour’s Volvo World Matchplay three times.

Family trip to Caminito del Rey
El Caminito del Rey, also known as the King’s Walkway, is the perfect place to visit for everyone looking for a family day trip full of adventure. This is no simple walk in the park. El Caminito Del Rey was once regarded as the most dangerous path in the world, and isn’t for anyone without a head for heights! At a cost of millions of euros the hike was re-opened in 2015 making the once-precarious footpath a safe and secure attraction for the whole family. It is a wooden walkway that winds its way along the side of a narrow and plunging gorge, offering incredible and exciting views.
There are two entrance sites from the north and one from the south. If you start from the Ardales in the north you have the choice of two tunnels to walk through. The first tunnel is approximately 200 metres long and 1.5km from the control cabin whereas the second is 2.7km from the control cabin. From Ardales you’ll be walking downhill whereas starting from El Chorro in the south, you’ll be walking slightly uphill.
You must book a ticket. The maximum number of people allowed on the Caminito at one time is four hundred. Groups of up to fifty people are allowed through the initial control points with slots allocated every half hour. A maximum of 1,100 people per day are allowed to walk the Caminito. You must take your proof of your ticket with you; either paper or digital as the tickets are scanned at the entrance. You must not forget your ticket otherwise you’ll be denied entrance.

The Cave of Ardales or Trinidad Grund was discovered in 1821 thanks to an earthquake that left the current entrance door free. This cave is well worth a visit if you want to soak up some prehistory. It preserves more than 50 figures and other symbols of animals, deer, horses, goats and a fish, mostly engraved with punches or flint burins. In general they are dated from the Upper Paleolithic about 20,000 years ago. The trip must be pre booked. If you speak spanish you can call at 952 458 046 or email at patrimonio@ardales.es
